---- Things to pack

?????? Clothing:

Jeans, T-shirts, Formals you can bring but you wont be using very often. Thermal wear two sets, jerkin (if you are coming here to study during winter term just bring at a thick one and thin one. If suppose you are coming during summer term then you can come and buy very good jerkins here in Marks and Spencers, H&M, Primark for cheaper rates. You can buy duvet and pillows for a very cheaper rates in ASDA and Sainsburys.

?????? Food stuffs:

You can get basmati rice, wheat flour, curd, green chillies and some Indian items from Taj grocery. But you wont be getting masala (sambar, chilli chicken, rasam, mutton masala powders) items here so try bringing more. Try to bring bring ready mix powders (dhall powder, instant rice mix powders) as much as you can. Also bring some spices any how you will be getting here but too costly.

?????? Other accessories:

vessels like frying pan, rice cooker (pressure or electric) , those who really like idli bring idly cooker. You can get all these over here but too costly. If you have enough space bring all these or adjust accordingly. Laptops are cheaper than India so it's better to buy here.

You can bring one hundred pound and rest in the form of travelers card or visa debit card. Don't bring Maestro card, they wont be accepting. With those two cards your parents can credit the money from India, you can withdraw here.
