Getting Equivalency for one year masters degree from UK
Let me be pessimist to let you guys know that it is really
difficult to get an equivalency for those who did their masters degree for a
year abroad.
I did my masters from University Of Sussex, Brighton U.K,
Brighton. It was for a year. After coming back to Home land (India) the problem
I faced for employment was really funny and challenging. The reason behind is
as follows.
1)
I met director of Anna University to apply for equivalency
certificate and he asked me as to why I haven’t done MS after going abroad as I
have been awarded MSc Degree. The funniest part is that I asked him the
difference between MS and MSc which he himself couldn’t reply back.
2)
The same gentleman asked me as to why I studied
for a year. I replied back I should have kept few arrears and should have
presented my project late so that I could have extended it for another year. Ladies and gentleman for your kind information
masters degree in U.K is for a year and not two.
3)
Somehow I have been awarded an equivalency
certificate but it has no relationship with my master’s subject. My master’s
degree was in Modern Communication Technologies with Business Management, but
the equivalency I received was Information Technology.
4)
I attended interview well reputed institution;
the feedback I received from the head of department was they need “sarees”.
Sorry not ready to change my gender for the sake of job, lol.
5)
If it was
a small and developing organization they are not having faith in those who
studied abroad since they have the perception that they will stay in for few
months and fly back. I would like to let the Managing Directors if you are
really having very good team leaders and managers who are really motivate, kind
and above all human iteration level will be very less.
6)
Large corporate companies cannot hire me in as
my previous experience was into food industry. In India I think the system
should change every person should have the liberty to study what he wishes to
and also should be given freedom to join a job that he loves.
7)
Above all Indian organization’s doesn’t need a
person who works harder but they need people who need’s to work smarter.
8)

guy’s so those who are all willing to do masters degree kindly do not come back
to your home land for good, under any cause......
